Travel Photography: My 7 Super Shots

Well, maybe I’m a little late for this but the idea is just great: the guys from the Hostelbookers started a cool "7 Super Shots" where you have to pick one photo for each category. A lot of fellow travel-bloggers did it during the last weeks so I felt like it was my turn!

1. a photo that takes my breath away

Cruising around America in a powerful Mustang together with a cool girl. Watching the sunset and continue into the unknown at high speed...
Where: California, USA

2 ... makes me laugh or smile

Playing concerts with TellYourVision. This pic is taken like a half an hour after we woke up in a house with girls and empty whiskey bottles. It is a seriously memorable moment from a concert on our band tour in Latvia. I miss my friends at home and to play music while traveling - but you can't have it all, right?
Where: Town of Gulbene, Latvia

3 ... makes me dream

Endless roads. The 23rd of May 2012 I decided to jump on my bicycle to go to the Football European Championship in Poland and Ukraine. When I ended up on this never ending dusty road I dreamed that I was sitting in a nice car cruising a out a highway. Dreaming can help you escape from an unwanted situation. Dreaming to me is 50% of my life.
Where: somewhere in Ukraine

4 ... makes me think

Bungy Jumping. This pic makes me think that if we sometimes remove the fixed boundaries that protect us we could get these unforgettable moments of FEELING ALIVE. The best feeling I know.
Where: 165 m. above Bote Khose River, Himalaya, Nepal

5 ... makes my mouth water

Home made danish smoerrebroed

Eating the head of a sheep... I worked for a half year at a furniture factory in Surabaya. One day two of my employees took me out for dinner: delicious sheep head - and the "restaurant" was soooo dirty. I didn't like the eyes, but to me traveling is to live on the locals' premises, that's how I learn the most about the cultures I visit; and that's also why I keep having this weird rumbling in my stomach...
Where: Surabaya, Java, Indonesia

6 ... tells a story

This pic tells the story about how tough a time it was to escape the university-life in Denmark to go hitchhiking and travel the world. From one moment to another I went from being a sweet little student with a normal life to a traveler who slept on train stations in minus 10 degrees and had no clue about the future... Highly recommended!
Where: train station, Freiburg, Germany

7 ... most proud of

I picked this pic as my sister is in it (and I'm very proud of her and my family). But also to tell you: I never won by gambling or something, I just work a bit at home (or abroad) to be able to get around the world. To me traveling is not about financial power - it's about prioritizing and to make your dreams come true.
As I have no education I can not apply for office jobs, but I find it much funnier to sell out old things at a market with my sister instead.
Where: my home town Silkeborg, Denmark

That’s it! What are your 7 super shots?

Yeah! That’s part of the game – I have to name some bloggers/travel-bloggers to join in and I’m excited to see their shots as they are experienced travelers. So guys: show me what you've got!

My nominations are:

1. the adventurous Nicolai who biked around the world for almost four years at: nicolaibangsgaard.dk
2. the sweet Sweedish couple Heidi and Oscar at heidioskar.tumblr.com
3. the famous and funny Bill Bryson (who will never do this?) at billbryson.blogspot.com/

 - the video-blogger and Mr. nice guy Steve already made "7 Super Shots" at back-packer.org
